    Dr. Elizabeth Harris

    Meet Dr. Elizabeth Harris.

    She specializes in the treatment of anxiety and depression and has experience treating a range of other issues including substance use, eating disorders, trauma, and grief. She has helped clients explore their identity, improve their interpersonal relationships, and manage their stress. Her approach is to create a safe, comfortable environment where her clients can freely express their concerns. She uses a collaborative approach to formulate a therapy plan tailored to each client’s specific needs. She uses a trauma-informed, multiculturally-sensitive approach to client care and often employs Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, relational or interpersonal techniques to help clients achieve their goals.

    Background and training.

    Dr. Harris is a graduate of the Counseling Psychology PhD program at the University of Denver. She completed her Doctoral Psychology Internship at the University of Denver’s Health and Counseling Center, an integrated medical and counseling center servicing undergraduate and students, as well as faculty and staff of the University of Denver. She has provided therapy to individuals, couples, and groups and has conducted psychological assessment while working in a variety of settings including numerous university counseling centers, medical systems, private practices, and community mental health centers.
